About Les Warren

My name is Les Warren. I got my first designing gig in high school, designing jewelery for a silversmith. I ended up designing the piece that won him his scholarship. Soon after that I became involved in the music business. I’ve been messing around on the internet since 1988, when I worked in the publishing business. I have been a professional web designer and web developer for over ten years.

I had wanted to get a web site to promote my art photography but ended up getting a raw deal from the designer who was supposed to do it for me. I decided, "The heck with this, I'm a designer, I can probably figure this out on my own". I downloaded a trial version of Adobe Dreamweaver and started reading online tutorials and soon had my own web site. That was ten years ago. Shortly after I got my own website up and going a photography client of mine said they were going to use the pictures I did for them on a website. They didn't have anybody lined up to do that yet so I gave them a bid and got the job. Designing web sites became a way to supplement my income. Also having a website for my art helped my career as an artist immensely.

In 2006 while I was running an art gallery in Smithville, Texas I went to developing web sites full time. Shortly after that S7 Media Design had its genesis.

I am a web developer with my own company now. But this is not to promote my company or sell any of those services. I do this today as Les Warren, an individual who believes in how empowering the internet is and who wants to help as many people as possible access its power - whether they have a lot of money to spend or not.
The internet is a great way to get information out. I blog on website stuff at my blog

There  is also an informative blog on this website. I have published a 15 page report titled, "Five Steps to a Successful Website" ,which you can get on this site.  It pretty much covers everything you need to know to plan and start a website.

As great as the internet is sometimes people benefit from face to face instruction and encouragement and so in March of 2011 I started giving my "Website Success" seminars and so far they have been really well received. Mostly people comment on gaining the confidence and inspiration they needed to go ahead and give a website a go. I love hearing that kind of stuff.
